President Biden to Join NCTE’s Trans Equality Now Awards Program

President Joe Biden will appear in a pre-recorded message during the Trans Equality Now Awards, which will be held on Transgender Day of Visibility today, March 31.

“During his campaign and the early days of his administration, President Biden has proven himself a strong ally to transgender Americans,” said Mara Keisling, executive director for the National Center for Transgender Equality, which is hosting the awards show.

“We are proud to have the president join us virtually as we honor trailblazers in the movement for transgender equality,” added Rodrigo Heng-Lehtinen, deputy executive director for NCTE.
