Protecting Trans Voters: Call the National Trans Voter Protection Hotline

Voting is a key part of our participation in society and we all have the right to vote regardless of gender identity. But on Election Day, there is a very real possibility that transgender people can face discrimination at the polls due to strict voter ID laws, coupled with legal and financial barriers to documents that accurately reflect an individual’s gender identity.

NCTE, Equality Arizona, and Equality Federation have partnered to create a national trans voter protection hotline. Strict voter ID laws, coupled with legal and financial barriers to documents that accurately reflect an individual’s gender identity, mean that trans voters across the country can sometimes face discrimination at the polls.

Save and share the number (239) 946-2718, and if you are kept from voting, give us a call or send us a text message. The hotline will be open from 6 a.m. EST to 11:59 p.m. EST on November 3, and can also be reached by webchat at outvoters.org.

Queremos asegurar todos of our voices are heard on November 3.
